[IGS]Clan Game Server Policies and Procedures
The following is a guide that all [IGS]Clan Members are expected to follow to maintain our "Elite" and professional status on all servers. You may have already read the [IGS]Clan Rules and Guidlines; the same applies for the gaming servers as well. Conduct unbecoming the Elite status will not be tolerated on any of the IGS game servers. It is this professional, friendly "feel" that draws people to our world of Insanity to be a part of the Elite.
The policies and procedures here reflect the Clan Rules and Guidelines. Following the guideline topic is a procedure in which should be followed to ensure every violation is documented, investigated and followed-up on in a professional manner. Once all the data has been documented, the case investigated on, and the results of said investigation is presented to the Clan Council, a discussion and vote will be conducted to determine the verdict. Most violations of policies will have the same/similar procedure.
The Master-At-Arms (MAA) Team is who you present your complaint to with all evidence acquired along with a full description of the violation you witnessed. The evidence will be evaluated and presented in a professional, unbiased manner to the Council for review. The Master-At-Arms Team will not take sides in any case, even if an MAA agent actually witnessed the violation(s) in gameplay. The MAA will, in such a case, present the evidence he/she also gathered and will support any claims by another that he/she actually witnessed in an unbiased manner.
1. Cheating- Anyone caught cheating by using "enhancement" modifications to the game (aimbots / skin hacks / etc.), or map defects such as holes to hide in and snipe from, will be immediately discharged from the [IGS]Clan. All privileges from all IGS related servers will also be revoked. You as a member of the [IGS]Clan are looked upon to be setting an example, toleration of the above is set to 0. You are set to a higher level of accountability and of all people, and it would be a disgrace and let down to all other members if the above was found to be true. Don't do it, respect the Clan Name, and respect each other.
Procedure -Collect as many screenshots and demorecs you can to represent your complaint of a cheater. Capture chat logs and voice recordings (if you have that capability). Also get a witness name to help back you up (if you can). The more "evidence" you can gather, the better and easier it will be. Present your case to a Master-At-Arms agent via email with all evidence attached. At that point, the MAA Team will organize the evidence, perform investigations as necessary, and then present the evidence and all data gathered to the Council for review.
2. Respect - Clan members will be respectful to all players at all times. This includes answering non-clan members questions or directing them to the right place for help when asked. You have a duty to treat people like you want to be treated. You need to avoid getting involved with non-clan members who are looking for negative attention. You are required to not start or participate in negative attention and/or harassment of any kind. Assist those who might have a commonly known question concerning gameplay, or direct them with "hints" to help them become better players. Take the lead and excel at helping everyone enjoy the fun of fragging in a positive and non-judgmental way.
Procedure -Collect as many screenshots and video clips as possible. This will be considered an "Internal Affairs" case should a violation of this policy occure. It can be frustrating in gameplay when dealing with an individual who is just looking to get a rise out of you in a negative way, or is just overall acting in a unprofessional manner. However, lashing back with the same negative attitude is not an acceptable way to deal with these people. Talk to others as you would want to be talked to, even if they are behaving in a bad way. Warn them that that kind of behavior will not be tolerated and politely remind them that all names and IP's are captured. Let them know that we are a positive, elite, and professional Clan. As in policy #1, capture as much evidence as possible and present it to the MAA Team for review if you witness another [IGS]Clan member violating this policy.
3. Trust- You are required to keep all activities, postings, Clan responsibilities, etc. private and confidential to all non-clan members. This Clan is centered on a circle of trust. Clan issues will not be discussed on any [IGS]Clan Servers in which all online populations play. The majority of the website will be locked to non-members. Members need to remember that their privileges with Clan related material are held sacred and confidential thus making the Clan what it is- Elite. Don't break this trust.
Procedure -Breaking this trust breaks the Clan. What happens in the Clan stays in the Clan. We are a family here and do not wish to have our IGS lives publicized outside the Clan walls. If you feel there has been a violation of this trust, gather as much data as possible, to include outside websites(forums, other Clans, etc...), and present your case to the MAA Team for further investigation.
Also included in this trust are the actions within the Clan Council itself. An internal affairs case will be opened if information on an exsisting case is "leaked out". Information on an exsisting case is considered private and its security is considered extremely important to the case. Absolutely NO case-related information will be shared to the persons under investigation or any persons affiliated with the investigatee, publically, or privately. This policy needs to be strictly enforced to ensure a FULL investigation can be acheived so all parties involved will recieve fair treatment and the status of Elite can be protected.
4. Offensive Talk - All IGS Clan members will not engage in offensive talk which can also be considered harassment. The usage of racial slurs, demeaning comments due to gender, etc. will not be tolerated. If another player and/or member reveals a concern to the MAA, the member who is the accused offender will be required to reconcile with the complainant. If things can't be worked out in a civil manner, the issue will be investigated and taken to the Clan council for further action.
Procedure -The same for Policy #1. Collect all evidence, present your case to the MAA Team with a full description of the violation and include any names of witnesses. Email all evidence to the MAA Team. Do not post a long, drawn-out complaint on the public forums. Keep the negativity to a low on the forums. Everyone knows that these things happen, we don't need to make it a huge part of life in the forums. Just present your case to the MAA Team and it will be handled in a very professional, unbiased manner.
